Rooster Docs
A short guide to what Rooster does and the parts included in the platform.
Rooster collects website form submissions, hosted form responses, page analytics, and bot-protection signals in one dashboard.
What Rooster Does
- Collects submissions from forms already on your website.
- Publishes Rooster-hosted forms when you do not want to build your own form page.
- Tracks page visits, referrers, devices, locations, and form-page activity.
- Blocks or challenges suspicious traffic with bot protection and CAPTCHA.
- Sends collected responses into the Rooster dashboard for review and export.
What It Has
Websites
Add the domains where Rooster should collect page activity and form responses. Each website gets install scripts and form groups.
Form Collection
Use the form collector script to collect submissions from existing forms. The form collector can also report form-page activity for analytics and collection health.
Analytics
Use the analytics script to collect page-view analytics and enforce page-level bot protection. The analytics script does not collect form field values.
Hosted Forms
Create and publish forms from Rooster when you do not want to maintain your own form infrastructure.
Bot Protection
Challenge or block suspicious traffic with website-level settings, CAPTCHA overlays, and submission protection.
Integrations
Install Rooster in custom apps, website builders, hosted form pages, and custom domains. Use the integrations guide when you need to decide where each script belongs.
Submissions
View collected responses, inspect metadata, and export data from the dashboard.
Troubleshooting
Use the troubleshooting guide when a website stays pending, submissions do not appear, analytics is missing, CAPTCHA fails, or a hosted form domain looks disconnected.
